Shadow Mario (a "shadow" of Mario who is getting Mario into trouble when it's really Bowser) has made paint marks all over Isle Delfino and it has caused the sunshine to lose it's power. It's up to Mario to help the Piantas! Later in the game, Bowser takes Peach away and it's up to Mario to get her back! Travel through all the different worlds and complete the levels to gain back the sunshine.
